International context and military response
For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense acknowledged having carried out a large-scale operation, justifying the onslaught as an action directed against energy, military, and port facilities. This new episode of violence occurs at a crucial moment, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy participates in the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
In his international agenda, the Ukrainian leader continues to manage the strengthening of his nation’s air defense systems, seeking the necessary support from the global community to curb the escalation of attacks affecting the civilian population and the country’s critical infrastructure.
