Raymond Rodríguez keeps the door open for a possible 2028 candidacy
The Dominican political landscape has begun to generate expectations following recent statements by Raymond Rodríguez, who did not rule out the possibility of entering the electoral arena with an eye toward the 2028 elections. During a meeting with the media, the community manager also avoided confirming a formal aspiration, but maintained suspense when asked if he could spring a surprise in the next electoral cycle.
When questioned about his future plans, Rodríguez was emphatic in pointing out that, for now, his priority is to continue his social work and constant support for the needs of the Dominican community. “There will be a time to talk about that,” he responded reservedly, making it clear that any decision regarding a political career will be addressed at the appropriate time.
Presence at the World Summit of Political Communication
These statements were offered within the framework of the XIX World Summit of Political Communication, an event held at the Catalonia Hotel in Santo Domingo. The activity brought together prominent strategists and figures from national and international politics, serving as a stage for the exchange of visions regarding the democratic future.
The event was attended by important public figures, among whom the following stood out:
- Leonel Fernández, former President of the Republic.
- Margarita Cedeño, former Vice President.
- Johnny Pujols, Secretary General of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
Although there is no official confirmation regarding a specific candidacy, Raymond Rodríguez’s stance has captured the attention of the political sector, which views him as a figure with the potential to join the upcoming electoral race.
Despite the rumors circulating about his potential profile as a pre-candidate, Rodríguez remains focused on his current agenda. The uncertainty regarding his next political step remains latent, leaving public opinion waiting for a definitive decision on his eventual foray into Dominican electoral politics.
