Police operation in Puerto Plata results in arrest and seizure of illegal weaponry
In a strategic action deployed during the early hours of this Friday, authorities from the Northern Regional Intelligence Sub-directorate (DINTEL), in collaboration with the Preventive Police and the Public Ministry, carried out a raid in the municipality of Imbert, Puerto Plata province. The operation, executed under judicial order No. 2026-AJ0067969, allowed for the dismantling of irregular activities in a residence located in the Barrio Nuevo sector.
During the intervention in the Saballo area, the agents managed to arrest an individual and seize various incriminating items. Among the confiscated articles, a 12-gauge Maverick Mossberg shotgun stands out, which, after being subjected to verification processes in official records, did not have any legal documentation to prove its ownership.
