Industrial safety strengthened in Haina with new fire station
In a joint effort to raise safety and protection standards in one of the country’s most important productive hubs, the Dominican private sector has formalized the donation of the land where a modern industrial fire station will be built in Haina, San Cristóbal.
The Minister of Interior and Police, Faride Raful, highlighted that this project is fundamental to optimize the response capacity to any eventuality. According to the authorities, the goal is to complete the construction and comprehensive equipping of the facilities in less than a year.
Today in Haina we are taking an important step to protect lives. This initiative is clear proof of the great results that can be achieved when there is effective collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Recognition of private investment
Juan Tomás Díaz, president of the Association of Industries and Companies of Haina and the Southern Region (AIEHaina and Southern Region), extended special thanks to Celso Marranzini, Celso Juan Marranzini, and their family for providing the land necessary for the project. Likewise, Díaz valued the constant follow-up by Minister Raful to ensure that this commitment becomes a tangible reality for the industrial community.

The new infrastructure will not only serve as a rapid response to fires, but will also be vital support for emergency management in an area where numerous companies of great economic relevance operate. With this station, the goal is to shield the safety of workers and protect the operational continuity of the industries installed in the area.
