Justice requests preventive detention for those involved in the death of Andy Louissant
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has formalized a request for pretrial detention against two men identified as responsible for the homicide of Andy Louissant, whose body was found hidden under a concrete structure in the Buenos Aires sector of Herrera, in Santo Domingo West.
The individuals linked to this tragic event have been identified as José Antonio Martínez Joseph, known as Martínez, and Juan Gabriel Marte Ramírez, nicknamed el Diamante. The request for a coercive measure was filed with the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the National District, seeking to ensure the presence of the defendants during the course of the investigations.
Accusation details
According to the file presented by prosecutor Topacio Suero Sierra, assigned to the Department of Crimes and Offenses against the Person, the defendants allegedly acted in association to take Louissant’s life. The discovery of the body in a recent construction site has been one of the key points that has intensified the investigations by the authorities.
The prosecuting body seeks for the defendants to remain in pretrial detention while the investigations and the judicial process related to the case proceed.
Next steps in the judicial process
- The hearing to determine the coercive measure is scheduled for this Wednesday.
