Pretrial detention ordered for man accused of child sexual abuse in Barahona
The Barahona justice system has ordered three months of preventive detention for Ramón Conton, popularly known as “Mancebo,” after he was identified as the alleged perpetrator of sexually abusing four minors in this province. The coercive measure was imposed by the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services, under the direction of Magistrate María Consuelo Valenzuela, who validated the evidence presented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The judicial file details that the victims are three girls and one boy, whose ages range between 6 and 12 years old. According to preliminary investigations, the accused allegedly took advantage of residential proximity and moments of vulnerability in which the minors were without adult supervision to commit the criminal acts for which he must now answer before the law.
