Poland bets on diplomacy and deterrence in the face of tension with Russia
During his participation in the United Nations General Assembly, the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, reaffirmed his country’s stance regarding the constant geopolitical tensions with the Kremlin. The leader was emphatic in pointing out that Warsaw’s main objective is not armed conflict, but the prevention of war through the strengthening of its defensive capabilities and international alliances.
Nawrocki stressed that the deployment of resources and the modernization of Polish military equipment are part of a deterrence strategy. According to the head of state, the intention is to guarantee national and regional security in the face of what he described as a persistent desire for destabilization by Moscow on the European continent.

The Polish leader did not spare criticism of the current policies of the Russian government, describing them as having a neocolonialist and imperialist background.
