Tension in the Chamber of Deputies: Alfredo Pacheco and José David Báez engage in a heated exchange
This Wednesday’s session in the Chamber of Deputies was marked by a moment of high political tension, following a verbal confrontation between the president of the chamber, Alfredo Pacheco, and the new spokesperson for the Fuerza del Pueblo bloc, José David Báez. The conflict arose from questions raised by the opposition bench regarding the recent formation of the legislative committees.
Deputy Báez took the floor to clarify that his political organization had not granted the necessary consent for the new distribution of the committees, stressing that his position had been established in advance and that there was no consensus regarding the implemented changes.

In the face of the complaints, Alfredo Pacheco defended the legitimacy of the procedure adopted by the presidency of the Chamber.
