The name of Carlos José Troche Rodríguez, widely known in the public sphere as “Nino Dollar,” has once again captured national attention after being involved in a tragic traffic accident on Abraham Lincoln Avenue in the National District. The event resulted in the loss of two lives and has triggered an intense judicial process that is still ongoing.
The incident, which occurred during the early hours of last August 15, involved an SUV allegedly driven by Troche Rodríguez and a motorcycle carrying Wilmer Rodríguez and his daughter, Wilkaren Rodríguez, who died due to the strong impact. A third person was also traveling on the two-wheeled vehicle and was injured during the crash.

Following the incident, the authorities initiated the relevant investigations to clarify the facts. Carlos José Troche Rodríguez turned himself in voluntarily to the National Police on August 17. Currently, the case is under the jurisdiction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, an entity that has requested pretrial detention as a coercive measure.
