The National Police confirmed the arrest of Eduardo Antonio de la Cruz, known in the criminal underworld as Niño Coboy, 27 years of age. The individual decided to turn himself in to the authorities after finding himself cornered by an intense search operation deployed by security agencies.

To finalize his surrender, the young man used communicators Papito Forever and Randy Paulino Noticias as mediators, who acted as a liaison to ensure his physical safety during the custody process.

Judicial requirement details

Niño Coboy was subject to judicial order number 2026-AJ0085746, issued on September 29, 2026. According to the official report, the detainee is accused of alleged involvement in crimes of robbery and aggravated robbery, charges that are classified under articles 224 and 225 of the Penal Code in force in the Dominican Republic.

Following his surrender, the accused was taken into police custody for the corresponding procedures and will be presented before the Public Prosecutor’s Office to face the legal charges attributed to him.

The case of Niño Coboy adds to the recent actions taken by authorities in their fight against crime. Regarding other matters related to public safety, the law enforcement institution has reported that investigations into the robbery perpetrated at the residence of renowned actor Kenny Grullón are showing significant progress, currently at a decisive stage to identify those responsible.
