Monseñor Nouel boosts its ecotourism potential on its 44th anniversary
Within the framework of the celebration of the 44th anniversary of the elevation of Monseñor Nouel to a province, Luis Rosado, executive director of the Ecotourism Council, presented an ambitious agenda of projects designed to transform this region into a benchmark for nature tourism in the Dominican Republic.
During his participation in the Senate Podcast, a space that featured the presence of the president of the upper house, José Manuel Bautista, Rosado emphasized that the central strategy of his administration is the responsible use of the natural resources that define the region, such as its rivers, imposing mountains, and diverse swimming spots.

The executive stressed that ecotourism not only functions as a window to showcase the area’s scenic riches, but also as an essential engine for creating economic opportunities that directly benefit the inhabitants of Monseñor Nouel. According to Rosado, the goal is to strengthen the province’s positioning while always guaranteeing the protection and conservation of the ecosystem.

The presentation of these initiatives took place in a special context, taking advantage of the ordinary session that the Senate of the Republic moved to the province to commemorate its four decades and four years of administrative history. This institutional proximity allowed the ecotourism projects to be presented to the authorities as a fundamental pillar for local progress.
With these actions, Monseñor Nouel reaffirms its commitment to a development model that combines environmental preservation with tourism growth, while also preparing for highly relevant events such as the XXXI Ecotourism and Production Fair, which will further showcase the attractions of this Cibao province.
