Crime in La Romana has raised alarms following the release of a video showing the exact moment two individuals, disguised as delivery drivers, steal a motorcycle parked in front of the Quisqueya sector basketball court.
In the audiovisual circulating on social media, it can be observed how the subjects arrive at the scene on a motorcycle. One of them, who is wearing a helmet and a distinctive delivery service jacket, gets off the vehicle and heads directly toward the target. With surprising speed, he manages to compromise the motorcycle’s ignition system while his accomplice remains on the lookout.

Modus operandi worries authorities
After committing the illicit act, both individuals fled the scene in an unknown direction, each on a motorcycle. This event sets a worrying precedent, as according to local reports, it is the second time this month that a robbery has been recorded in La Romana where the perpetrators use delivery worker attire to evade the suspicion of passersby.
