Man accused of abusing two minor sisters in Boca Chica captured in La Caleta
The National Police reported the arrest of Jean Carlos Encarnación, a man who was actively sought by authorities after being identified as the alleged perpetrator of sexually abusing two minor sisters, aged 14 and 16, in incidents recorded during the current year 2025 in the municipality of Boca Chica.
According to the official report, the victims became pregnant as a result of the assaults, which triggered the judicial process following the complaints filed by the adolescents. The capture operation was carried out this Saturday in the municipal district of La Caleta, thanks to a joint effort between the Central Unit for the Search and Capture of Fugitives and the Judicial Police Specialized in Children and Adolescents (NNA).
Details of the judicial process
Encarnación remained a fugitive from justice under arrest warrant number 973-2025-EMES-11325. The authorities have based the accusation on child protection laws and the Dominican Penal Code:
- Violation of articles 12, 14, and 396 of Law 136-03, which establishes the Code for the System of Protection and Fundamental Rights of Children and Adolescents.
- Infringement of article 331 of the Dominican Penal Code, regarding sexual offenses.
Following his capture, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal procedures and the subsequent request for a coercive measure before the competent courts.
This arrest represents an important step in the investigation seeking to clarify the events that occurred in Boca Chica and to ensure that the full weight of the law is applied against the accused.
