The Macarrulla Foundation has officially announced the celebration of the 2026 Macarrulla Cup, a children’s baseball tournament that reaffirms its commitment to sports development and the comprehensive training of young people in the Dominican Republic. Under the slogan “Sowing values on the field,” the competition will bring together eight outstanding teams from the under-12 category of Greater Santo Domingo.
The action will begin on Friday, September 4th, at the Ciudad Juan Bosch sports facilities, extending over three consecutive weekends with the goal of fostering discipline and camaraderie from an early age.

For the second consecutive year, the Macarrulla Cup is an opportunity for our children to compete, but above all to learn discipline, respect, and teamwork. We continue to sow those values on the field, convinced that sports transform lives and strengthen our communities.

Inclusion and competition calendar
One of the great new features for the 2026 edition is the incorporation of a youth female component. Two girls’ teams will be part of the tournament, playing a series of matches during the second weekend, which marks a step forward in equity within local baseball.
The game schedule has been structured as follows:
- Regular season: From September 4 to 6.
- Super round and women’s tournament: From September 11 to 13.
- Final phase and awards ceremony: From September 18 to 20.
The Macarrulla Foundation will reward excellence by presenting medals and trophies to the winning teams, as well as individual distinctions for the Most Valuable Player, the championship manager, and the members of the “All-Star Team.” Likewise, leaders in the batting, power, and pitching departments will be recognized.
A social commitment to sport
Participation in this event is completely free for the teams, thanks to the support of the Macarrulla Foundation. This non-profit entity continues to consolidate its social work, using baseball not only as an athletic discipline, but as a vehicle to strengthen civic coexistence and provide growth opportunities for Dominican children.
