The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, has begun a series of official activities that will extend over the next three days in the northern part of the country. From this Monday, September 14th, to Wednesday, September 16th, the president will fulfill a busy agenda covering the provinces of Santiago, Espaillat, and Valverde, focusing on the inauguration of works and the supervision of strategic infrastructure projects.

The day began in the Espaillat province, specifically in Moca, where the head of state led the inauguration of the Las Espinas highway, a 5.8-kilometer road infrastructure that promises to boost local connectivity. Likewise, the president took advantage of his stay to hold a meeting with the mayors of the area with the aim of evaluating municipal development initiatives.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, the work agenda includes the following key points:
- Santiago: Meetings with representatives from the public, private, business, academic, and social sectors.
- Educational infrastructure: Formal handover of the El Guano school.
- Air connectivity: Supervision of progress on the expansion of the Cibao International Airport.
- Sanitation: Inspection of the wastewater treatment plant and the sewage system in Licey al Medio.
- Health in Valverde: Visit to the construction of the new Mao Trauma Hospital and follow-up on sanitation works in the province.
The priority of this visit is to ensure that infrastructure projects and basic services advance as planned, maintaining direct contact with local authorities and the productive sectors of our northern region.
