Justice system to hear coercion measures against those involved in the assault on Julián Oro Duro
The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of Santo Domingo East has scheduled for this Wednesday the hearing for the request of coercive measures against four individuals accused of participating in the violent robbery that occurred at the residence of merengue artist Julián Oro Duro, an event that resulted in the death of his wife, Zeneida Socorro Castillo.
The tragic incident, which has shocked public opinion, took place during the early hours of last Monday, October 21. Following the investigations carried out by the authorities, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has structured a file that includes 43 pieces of evidence that directly link the detainees to the crime.
Involved in the case
- Phillips Michael Tejeda Vásquez, known as Leandro.
- Lawrence Mark Liranzo Marcos, alias Chiquito.
- Kevin Dariel Germán Troncoso, identified as Yandel.
- Juan Carlos Hernández García, nicknamed Peña.
These four men must appear before the court to answer for the acts of which they are accused. Although the Public Prosecutor’s Office has formalized the request for coercive measures, the specific details regarding the nature of the precautionary measure that the accusing body has requested to be imposed on the suspects have not yet been specified.
The court will determine this Wednesday the procedural fate of the four defendants, in a hearing that seeks to clarify the legal responsibilities following the assault on the artist and the tragic outcome for his partner.
