Colombian soccer player Jhon Arias has demonstrated his social commitment by leading an aid initiative for the victims of the recent earthquake that shook Colombia. The midfielder, a standout figure for Palmeiras and the national team, made a private aircraft available to transport specialized medical personnel and essential supplies to Quibdó, his hometown and one of the areas most impacted by the earthquake.
The Chocó region, epicenter of the 7.4 magnitude earthquake recorded in San José del Palmar, has suffered considerable damage to its infrastructure and housing.
