Jandy Ventura and Zusan Correa revive the classic “Para Decir Adiós” in a merengue version

The Dominican music industry receives a proposal filled with nostalgia and modernity. The prominent merengue artist Jandy Ventura has joined forces with singer Zusan Correa to release a refreshing merengue version of the iconic song “Para Decir Adiós” (To Say Goodbye), an original composition by Puerto Rican artist Roberto Figueroa.

The song, which achieved world fame in the voices of José Feliciano and Ann Kelly in 1982, and later with Danny Rivera and Eydie Gormé in 1996, now returns with a tropical essence. This new production features the arrangements and musical direction of the multi-award winner Henry Jiménez, who saw in Zusan the necessary potential to revitalize this classic alongside a figure of Ventura’s stature.

A bridge between generations

For Jandy Ventura, this project is part of his ongoing mission to preserve merengue and provide spaces for new talent. According to the artist, the connection with Zusan, who is the daughter of the renowned Dominican comedian Aquiles Correa, was immediate from the first contact in the studio.

Since I heard Zusan, I understood that there was talent and, above all, an artist with a lot of potential. I have always believed that those of us who have had the opportunity to build a career also have the responsibility to open doors for new generations. I believe a lot in this song, I believe in Zusan, and I am going to give her all my support so that the public can get to know her talent.

Having his trust and support, and counting on the musical direction and production of Henry Jiménez, has been a great learning experience,” the young performer expressed.

  • The official premiere took place last Sunday on the program “Entre Ellas,” hosted by Carolyn Aquino and Naoni Reyes.
  • Starting this Monday, the single began its formal rotation on radio stations nationwide.
  • The work team has designed a comprehensive strategy that includes appearances in media, television, and digital platforms.

With this bet, Alofoke Deportes highlights the commitment of established figures to promote generational change, combining the experience of Jandy Ventura with the vocal freshness of Zusan Correa in a piece that promises to win over popular taste once again.
