Barahona prepares for the opening of a new ITLA technology center
The senator for the province of Barahona, Moisés Ayala, confirmed that an extension of the Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas (ITLA) will begin operations in this area during the current year. The center, which will operate in the Sur Joven facilities, represents a crucial step for the educational and professional development of the Enriquillo region.
This project, which was managed by Ayala since 2020 when he served as a deputy, seeks to decentralize the high-tech academic offering. According to the legislator, the main goal is to provide young people from Barahona with access to cutting-edge training programs without them having to leave their home province.
Since we were deputies, we took on this initiative as a priority for our province. Today we see how that dream we began working for in 2020 is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality.
