Family requests help to locate Alfonso Méndez, missing in Santo Domingo

Uncertainty has gripped a family in Santo Domingo following the disappearance of Alfonso Méndez, who was last seen early last Thursday morning leaving his residence. Since then, his loved ones have undertaken an intense search to determine his whereabouts.

Marlene Méndez, daughter of the missing man, has made an urgent appeal to Dominican society to collaborate in the search efforts. The family’s concern is extreme, given that Alfonso suffers from Alzheimer’s, a condition that increases the risk of disorientation and makes it difficult for him to return home on his own.

Details about the search and possible sightings

Although the authorities have been notified and are working on the case, the family is requesting that search efforts be intensified. According to reports received by those close to him, there is a lead that places Alfonso in the vicinity of the Iván Guzmán Clan last Saturday, although this information has not yet been officially confirmed.

What we want is for them to find him, for him to appear safe and sound.

Call for citizen collaboration

The relatives urge residents of the surrounding areas, drivers, and merchants to remain vigilant for any sightings. Given Alfonso’s health condition, it is recommended that, if he is located, he be kept in a safe place while immediate notice is given to his relatives or security agencies.

  • Any information can be communicated directly to Marlene Méndez at the phone number 829-868-3497.
  • The family appreciates in advance any information, however minimal it may seem, that could help reconstruct her route since last Thursday.

The solidarity of the citizenry is fundamental at this critical moment. The Alofoke Deportes team joins the call for help from the Méndez family, hoping for Alfonso’s prompt return to his home.
