Stable and hot weather conditions will dominate this Friday in the Dominican Republic

The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) has reported that for this Friday, a meteorological outlook with predominantly dry weather is expected across much of the national territory. This atmospheric behavior is the result of an air mass with low moisture content, combined with the presence of Saharan dust particles that will affect the visual quality of the sky.

An environment with little cloudiness and an opaque or grayish tone is expected, which will keep the probability of precipitation significantly low for most of the day. However, it is not ruled out that, towards the evening, the combination of daytime heating and local terrain may cause brief and isolated showers in specific parts of the provinces of Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, and San Cristóbal.

High temperatures: Health recommendations

Heat will continue to be the main feature of the day, with high heat indices that require caution from the public. According to data from Indomet, maximum temperatures will reach values between 34 °C and 36 °C, while minimums will remain between 24 °C and 26 °C.

In the face of high temperatures, it is vital to prioritize constant hydration, wear light-colored, lightweight clothing, and avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, especially for the most vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and pregnant women.
