Hansel, alias “Boca Negra”, dies after alleged confrontation with agents in Samaná
In an operation carried out in the province of Samaná, Hansel, widely known in criminal circles as “Boca Negra,” was killed. The individual was the primary target of an intense search by the National Police, due to his alleged involvement in armed attacks against law enforcement officers in the Sabana Perdida sector.
According to preliminary reports, the death occurred during an exchange of gunfire with members of the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM). Case background
Since September 20th, security forces had been actively pursuing “Boca Negra,” whom they held responsible for shooting and wounding two members of the police force in Santo Domingo Norte. The events that led to his search were as follows:
- The attack against Corporal Jesús Heredia William Antonio, 26, who was struck by projectiles in the Los Palmares sector.
- The assault against Major Andrés Pascual, 54, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head while participating in the pursuit of the suspect.
The Director General of the National Police, Major General Ernesto Rodríguez García, has maintained constant monitoring of the medical progress of the officers affected following the violent incidents.
