Francisco Javier García demands impartiality in anti-corruption proceedings in the Dominican Republic
The presidential hopeful for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Francisco Javier García, called on the authorities to ensure that the fight against corruption is carried out under uniform criteria, eliminating any distinction based on the political affiliation of those under investigation.
During his participation in the RD Debate forum, García questioned the current handling of judicial files. In his view, investigations must be strictly based on solid evidentiary elements and procedures applied equitably to all citizens, regardless of their closeness to the current government administration.
Individual responsibility and independent justice
The political leader emphasized that illicit acts are of a personal nature and should not be used to stigmatize entire political organizations. Under this premise, he demanded greater consistency from prosecution agencies, warning that the disparity in the speed of responses to various complaints affects public perception of justice.
The credibility of the judicial system depends directly on its ability to act without political interference and with total independence, ensuring that the weight of the law falls upon anyone, regardless of their partisan background.

García stressed that strengthening institutionalism requires judicial bodies to operate under standard parameters, which, according to his statements, is fundamental to recovering and consolidating citizen trust in the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the judicial system in general.
