Dominican Republic and Venezuela dominate and advance undefeated to the Pan American Baseball semifinals
The 11-12 Year Old Pan American Baseball Tournament has defined its great protagonists. The national teams of the Dominican Republic and Venezuela have sealed their pass to the semifinal round after maintaining an impeccable undefeated streak, consolidating themselves as the teams to beat in the competition.
In a day full of intensity, the Dominican team managed to overcome Puerto Rico, while the Venezuelan squad did the same against Aruba. With these results, both the Dominicans, leaders of Group A, and the Venezuelans, who dominate Group B, close the regular season with a perfect 5-0 record.
A high-level tournament with great reach
The event, which features a special dedication to the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, Mr. Andrés Bautista, has served as a showcase for young talent from across the region. The matches have taken place at key venues in the capital: the Liga Deportiva Mercedes stadium, located in the La Fe district, and the number two softball field at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.

The qualifying stage will come to an end this Tuesday with a slate of three decisive matchups:
- United States vs. Aruba (9:30 a.m. – Liga Deportiva Mercedes)
- Santo Domingo Province vs. Colombia (9:30 a.m. – Stadium 2, Olympic Center)
- Colombia vs. Panama (11:30 a.m. – Stadium 2, Olympic Center)
