2026 DPK Interleague Winter Series: Boosting the future of Dominican baseball
The Dominican Prospect Kids (DPK) platform has confirmed the start of its highly anticipated 2026 DPK Winter Interleague Series. Starting this Saturday, September 19, young baseball talent in the Dominican Republic will gather for an event designed to foster the competitive development of the future stars of the diamond.
The competition will take place at two strategic venues: the Juan José “Vivo” Carmona Complex and the main stadium on Avenida España. In these settings, more than 30 teams will seek to stand out in a tournament that promises a high level of play and impeccable organization.
A hotbed of talent
John Carmona, president of DPK, highlighted the importance of this tournament as a fundamental pillar for the growth of national prospects. According to the executive, the main objective is to offer a space where children and young people can showcase their skills and strengthen their sports discipline.
This event represents an opportunity for children and young people to showcase their skills, compete, and continue growing within baseball.

In addition, Carmona announced that after this stage concludes, the Winter Super Round Series will be held, providing a competitive rematch for those teams looking to improve their previous results.
Opening day schedule
The action kicks off with a schedule packed with matchups across various categories:
- Javillita Category: Team Cuba vs. Team Cibao Division; Team Miranda League vs. Team Pichulo; Team Cibao Division vs. Team Capital Division.
- Pre-infant Category: Team Miranda League vs. Team North Division; Team East Division vs. Team Pichulo; Team Pichulo vs. Team Cornielle League; Team Cornielle League vs. Team Spilman League.
- Infant Category: Team Spilman League vs. Team Atlantic Division; Team Continental Division vs. Team Cornielle League; Team Cornielle vs. Team Atlantic Division; Miranda League vs. Enrique “Quique” Cruz League.
