Dominican talent stands out in the 2026 Latin Grammy nominations
The Dominican Republic makes a strong presence at the 27th edition of the 2026 Latin Grammy Awards. A new generation of local artists has managed to capture the attention of the international music industry, consolidating the impact of our culture on the most important stages in the world.
Singer-songwriter Manerra leads this group of nominees with two nominations: “Best Tropical Song” and “Best Merengue/Bachata Album” thanks to his successful production “Todo Llega”. The artist shared his excitement with his followers through social media, expressing his gratitude for this important recognition in his musical career.

Mastery in the Merengue and Bachata genre
The “Best Merengue/Bachata Album” category has become an almost exclusive stage for local talent, where four of the five nominees are Dominican. Along with Manerra, the list includes:
- Gabriel Pagán with “No Era El Plan”
- Covi Quintana with “Oye Eta Vaina”
- Techy Fatule with “Chula”
Urban genre maintains its impact
Urban music also has a prominent representation. Rapper J Noa adds the fourth nomination of her professional career in the “Best Rap/Hip Hop Song” category for her track “Antisistema”. In that same category, Tokischa competes with the single “Mono”, a collaboration with Spanish rapper Kase.O that is part of her recent album “Amor & Droga”.
The album Amor & Droga allows Tokischa to explore complex themes such as vulnerability and transformation, marking a turning point in her career and positioning her as a key figure in today’s music.
The awards ceremony that honors the best of Latin music will take place on November 12th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where these artists will seek to bring the golden gramophone to Dominican soil.
