Dollar rate in the Dominican Republic: Reference prices for this October 1st
The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic has released the reference values for exchange operations corresponding to this Thursday, October 1st. The fluctuation of the US dollar maintains its relevance in the local economic environment, reflecting the behavior of financial institutions and exchange houses.
According to the official report, the rates have been distributed as follows:
- Financial Entities: The purchase rate was positioned at RD$57.73, while the sale rate was set at RD$60.11.
- Remittance and Exchange Agents: The over-the-counter quote closed at RD$59.10 for purchase and RD$59.94 for sale.
Analysis of exchange rate behavior
When analyzing the close of the previous session, which occurred on September 30, 2026, a slight upward adjustment was recorded in the buying and selling rates compared to the previous day. This movement is part of the usual dynamics of the foreign exchange market within the national territory.
Despite daily variations, macroeconomic statistics show a positive trend for the local currency. The data confirm a sustained strengthening of the Dominican peso against the dollar, both in the year-to-date and in the year-on-year comparison.
