Alleged criminal captured and four scooters recovered in Santiago
In an effective operation deployed in Santiago de los Caballeros, agents of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) managed to capture a man accused of stealing multiple scooter-type motorcycles in various sectors of the city. The operation also allowed for the recovery of four vehicles that had been reported as stolen.
The detainee was identified as Ángel Luis Alonzo Martínez, known in the criminal world by the alias “Dicrim”. According to the authorities, the individual took advantage of the owners’ carelessness to seize the units, with the aim of subsequently selling them illicitly.

The arrest was the result of rigorous tracking and intelligence work carried out by the Vehicle Recovery Unit. The agents acted after receiving various reports from citizens affected by the wave of robberies in the province.
