David Ortiz promotes mental health in a big family walk

Legendary former Major League Baseball player and honorary ambassador of the National Health Service (SNS), David Ortiz, has made a special call to all Dominican citizens to join the Walk for Mental Health. This event, designed to promote awareness about emotional well-being, will take place this Saturday, October 10, at the National Botanical Garden facilities starting at 9:00 in the morning.

A commitment to emotional well-being

Ortiz, who has taken an active role in promoting holistic health, emphasized that normalizing conversations about emotional well-being is a crucial step toward improving the quality of life for Dominicans. According to the former baseball player, the key lies in providing support and the ability to listen to those going through difficult times, thereby eliminating the prejudices that still surround mental health.

Speaking openly, listening to those who need support, and fostering a culture of companionship are fundamental actions for building a healthier and more conscious society.
