Progress on the construction of the new Civil Defense building in Bonao

In the Monseñor Nouel province, firm steps have been taken toward the realization of the new Civil Defense headquarters. Recently, at the facilities of the Provincial Development Council, the formal selection process for the technical supervision of the project was held, an event that brought together prominent engineering and architecture professionals from the area.

During the day, it was officially confirmed that engineer Esther García will be responsible for the execution of the construction. Meanwhile, following a draw process held this Tuesday, engineer Wellington Mejía was appointed as the person in charge of supervising the quality and compliance of the work on the future infrastructure.

The event featured the participation of various local personalities and representatives from the professional sector, who validated the transparency of the process:

  • Victoria Mejía, executive director of the Development Council.

  • Representatives of the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors (CODIA).

The construction of the new Civil Defense building constitutes a project of importance for the Monseñor Nouel province, as it will allow for the strengthening of the operational conditions of this institution and improve its response capacity in emergency and disaster situations.

This project is considered an essential work for the development of Bonao, as it will provide relief agencies with modern and adequate facilities.
