Christian Community honors President Luis Abinader for his support of faith and values
Within the framework of the celebration of National Bible Day, the National Christian Community paid a significant tribute to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader. The event, held at the Volleyball Pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, served as a stage to recognize the president’s administration for its constant openness toward the religious sector and its institutional support for the commemoration of the Holy Scriptures.
For six consecutive years, the National Palace has served as the venue to commemorate this day, an initiative that the Christian community has valued as a gesture of commitment to the spiritual principles that govern a large part of Dominican society.

Faith-guided leadership
Upon receiving the distinction, the head of state expressed that this recognition motivates him to continue working with integrity, underscoring that his faith acts as a compass in making complex decisions for the well-being of the country. According to the president, seeking divine guidance is fundamental when facing the great responsibilities that come with the administration of the State.
Strengthening the social fabric
Milcíades Franjul, the Government’s liaison with Evangelical Churches, highlighted the importance of collaboration between state institutions and religious organizations. Franjul emphasized that churches play a crucial role in strengthening the family and developing youth, promoting values of justice, solidarity, and service to others.
The Bible as a national pillar
For his part, the president of the Dominican Evangelical Alliance, Reynaldo Franco Aquino, recalled that the Bible occupies a central place in the National Shield, being an element that has historically defined the identity and values of the Dominican people. The ceremony highlighted that this sacred book continues to be a source of hope and transformation for millions of people in times of difficulty.
Recognition details
The plaque presented to President Abinader bears the motto: “The Bible, foundation of a Republic with values”. The organizing committee that granted the distinction was composed of leaders from the country’s main Christian organizations, including:
