China records notable growth in its commercial activity during August
The Chinese economy has shown a solid performance in the eighth month of the year, reporting positive figures in its trade balance. According to official information provided by the General Administration of Customs, the Asian giant’s exports experienced a year-on-year growth of 18.6%, reaching a figure close to 2.72 trillion yuan.
This dynamism was not limited solely to foreign sales, but was also reflected in domestic demand. Imports recorded a significant increase of 21.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, totaling approximately 1.92 trillion yuan.
Trade surplus and economic context
As a result of this trade exchange, China closed the month of August with a surplus of 809.3 billion yuan. These data reflect the resilience of the Chinese export sector in the face of global market fluctuations.
The constant increase in foreign trade indicators reaffirms China’s strategic role in the international supply chain and its ability to maintain positive figures in a complex economic environment.
With these results, customs authorities consolidate a favorable balance that highlights the strength of the Asian country’s commercial transactions throughout 2025.
