Banreservas highlights Dominican Republic’s historic performance in Santo Domingo 2026
The Dominican Republic concluded a memorable participation in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, reaching a total of 150 medals. This milestone did not go unnoticed by the authorities of the financial sector, with the executive president of Banreservas, Leonardo Aguilera, highlighting and praising the discipline and talent shown by the national delegation.
The country managed to position itself in fifth place in the general medal table, accumulating 46 gold, 37 silver, and 67 bronze medals, figures that set a historic precedent for Dominican sports by surpassing all its previous records in this regional competition.

Beyond the medals, Aguilera highlighted the logistical and organizational capacity exhibited by the country during the event, which brought together more than six thousand athletes from 37 nations. - Centro Caribe Sports: In the person of its president, Luis Jiménez Oviedo, for placing his trust in the Dominican Republic to host the one hundred years of history of these Games.
The executive president of Banreservas emphasized that the success of Santo Domingo 2026 transcends the merely sporting aspect.
