Banco Popular establishes itself as the most sustainable entity in the Dominican Republic
Banco Popular Dominicano has reaffirmed its leadership in corporate responsibility by being distinguished as the most sustainable company in the Dominican Republic. This recognition, granted in the ranking of the Most Sustainable Companies in Central America and the Caribbean 2026, places the financial institution in sixth position at the regional level, highlighting its commitment to sustainable development.
The ranking, which evaluates 100 companies from various nations such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama, highlights Popular’s ability to maintain standards of excellence. This achievement continues its outstanding performance in 2025, a year in which the entity had already led the category at the national level.
A management model with positive impact
The evaluation was based on an exhaustive survey conducted among 1,200 business leaders and senior executives from across the region. Participants analyzed key performance indicators and the impact of sustainability strategies on the creation of economic, social, and environmental value.

The study also yielded positive data regarding the current corporate culture: 97% of the business owners surveyed state that their organizations are committed to sustainable practices, while 98% of those consulted claim to feel inspired by their companies’ work in this area. With this recognition, the Banco Popular Dominicano consolidates its position as a regional benchmark in the implementation of responsible and efficient management models.
