Alleged perpetrator of the assault on Kenny Grullón’s residence captured
National Police agents managed to arrest Yefry Manuel Jiménez, alias “Babo” or “Jefry”, in the municipality of Haina, San Cristóbal province. The individual is identified as the main suspect in the robbery that occurred at the residence of the renowned Dominican actor and comedian Kenny Grullón, located in the University Zone of Santo Domingo.
Incident details
According to preliminary investigations, the incident took place on September 2nd. The detainee allegedly accessed the home after forcing a door at the back of the property. Once inside, the suspect allegedly used a bladed weapon to intimidate the artist, managing to gag him in order to proceed with the theft of various belongings.

Recovery of belongings and legal status
Following intelligence work and the capture operation, investigators managed to recover the comedian’s cell phone and wedding ring, items that had been stolen during the assault. Currently, Yefry Manuel Jiménez remains in the custody of the competent authorities to continue with the corresponding legal procedures and face charges for this criminal act.
The rapid intervention of the authorities allowed for the whereabouts of the alleged assailant to be found and for personal valuables to be recovered for the affected artist.
