Security cameras capture armed robbery of a couple in the presence of a minor in SDO
An outrageous act of delinquency was captured by security cameras in the Barrio Duarte sector of Herrera, in Santo Domingo Oeste. On August 31st, a married couple traveling with their five-year-old son was intercepted by two armed individuals, who stripped them of their belongings under death threats.
The images of the incident show the aggression with which the assailants acted, who, regardless of the presence of the minor, held the victims at gunpoint to force them to hand over their valuables. During the struggle, the woman was stripped of her purse, which contained personal documents, her vehicle documentation, and bank cards. The victims reported that, after the robbery, the criminals made fraudulent charges with the stolen cards.
I went through moments of anguish and felt great fear for my little one, while this antisocial individual pointed his weapon at me and assaulted me roughly to strip me of my belongings.

Following the traumatic event, the complainants made an urgent call to the National Police to deepen the investigations, identify those responsible, and proceed with their immediate capture. The concern of those affected lies in the danger these individuals pose to the community, due to the violence used during the robbery.
