IDOPPRIL strengthens labor protection in Las Terrenas with new facilities
Businessman and political leader Agustín Tavárez celebrated the recent opening of a new module of the Dominican Institute for the Prevention and Protection of Occupational Risks (IDOPPRIL) at the Lic. Pablo A. Paulino Municipal Hospital. According to Tavárez, this advancement represents a significant milestone for the strengthening of the commercial, business, and labor sector in Las Terrenas.
The launch of this office will allow both employers and workers in the area to directly access the services of the Occupational Risk Insurance (SRL). Among the main advantages, the ease of carrying out procedures, receiving precise guidance, and managing essential benefits without the need to travel to other locations stands out, thus optimizing the time and resources of those who drive the local economy.
A commitment to the development of Samaná
The inauguration of this service center responds to a strategic initiative by IDOPPRIL, under the executive direction of Dr. Agustín Burgos, with the goal of decentralizing services and expanding coverage nationwide. The establishment of this location was made possible thanks to the efforts of the senator for the province of Samaná, Pedro Catrain, who addressed the request of the community’s workers.
Bringing IDOPPRIL services closer to our population is a fundamental step to guarantee effective labor protection and support the productive dynamism that characterizes this important tourist area.

Tavárez concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the development of Las Terrenas, emphasizing that any initiative focused on improving working conditions and strengthening the business fabric will always receive firm support to continue driving the social and economic growth of the region.
