Acroarte will celebrate the 15th edition of the Journalism Merit Award
The Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte) has confirmed the details of the fifteenth edition of the Acroarte Award for Journalistic Merit. The event, which honors the trajectory and impact of communication professionals in the cultural and artistic field, will take place next Tuesday, September 1st.
On this occasion, the institution will recognize five key figures whose performance has been fundamental to the strengthening of the guild. The gala, which has established itself as a benchmark of excellence, will be dedicated this year to veteran communicator Juan T.H., who will be one of the honorees alongside the former president of the entity, Alexis Beltré Ramírez.
Each of these fellow chroniclers, journalists, and communicators has proven their professional quality and unwavering commitment to society, the media, and culture. We are proud to be part of their stories through this recognition.

Featured award winners
The recognition extends beyond the capital, rewarding the work of chroniclers in the various national and international branches. Those selected for this edition are:
- Juan T.H.: Central figure of this edition, recognized for his extensive career in national communication.
- Alexis Beltré Ramírez: Former president of Acroarte and current member of the Advisory Council, noted for his institutional work.
- Yamira Taveras: Representative of the Santiago branch, with a career spanning law and journalism since 1990.
- Mayra La Paz: Recognized for her communicative and union work from the Florida, United States branch.
- Rammy Pérez: Noted for his active participation and constant support for the strengthening of the New York branch.
Since its creation in 2012, under the management of Máximo Jiménez, the Journalism Merit Award has distinguished more than 70 professionals, reaffirming Acroarte’s commitment to historical memory and excellence in the practice of specialized entertainment journalism.
The realization of this event is possible thanks to the support of entities such as Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, Banco Popular Dominicano, Banco de Reservas, ETED, RTVD, the Airport Department, Logomarca, and Hotel Catalonia, among other collaborators who support cultural work in the country.
