New appointments in the government train through Decree 555-26
The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, has continued with the restructuring process in various State institutions. Through Decree 555-26, the president officialized strategic changes that range from provincial and agroforestry development to important basic service entities and the Dominican diplomatic corps.
Movements in key institutions and provincial development
Among the adjustments made this Sunday, the appointment of José Dolores Andújar Ramírez as the new director of the Provincial Development Directorate stands out, assuming the responsibility of leading this agency in replacement of the previous management.
On the other hand, the Technical Executing Unit for Agroforestry Development Projects (UTEPDA) will have new leadership. Nidio Encarnación Santiago has been appointed executive director of this organization, whose work is fundamental for the monitoring and implementation of programs aimed at the progress of the agroforestry sector throughout the national territory.
Changes in CORAASAN and the foreign service
At the regional level, the Government focused its attention on the Santiago Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (CORAASAN). César Andrés Pichardo Fermín was appointed as the new president of the institution’s Board of Directors. In addition to this move, Bernardo Antonio Inoa Pichardo was appointed as a member of the aforementioned Board of Directors to strengthen water management in the province of Santiago.
Finally, the foreign service also underwent significant modifications. Elías de Jesús Brache Rivas has been selected to represent the country as consul general of the Dominican Republic in Los Angeles, California, United States, thus consolidating the changes made by the Executive Branch in this administrative day.
These designations are part of the institutional renewal vision promoted by President Abinader’s administration to optimize the performance of public agencies.
