Abel Martínez intensifies his national tour with an eye on 2028
The presidential hopeful for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Abel Martínez, maintains an active agenda of meetings in various communities across the country. The main objective of these outreach efforts is to listen firsthand to the PLD membership, leaders of the productive sectors, and the general public, under the premise of consolidating a proposal that will allow the purple party to return to power in the upcoming 2028 elections.
During these sessions, which have become popular under the format known as “Coffee with Abel,” the political leader has called for internal unity, urging his colleagues to prioritize collective well-being over particular interests or impositions within the organization.
We have to be very clear about things and, in the PLD, we would have to be very foolish if we do not win the Presidency in 2028. It is up to us to step forward and defend the Dominicans; to defend Dominican identity and public resources, which do not belong to the officials, but to the people.
