TBS District 2026: Rains force rescheduling of decisive matchday at Arena BanReservas

The National District Basketball Association (Abadina) announced the suspension of this Tuesday’s games in the 50th National District Superior Basketball Tournament (TBS Distrito 2026). The measure was taken due to the adverse weather conditions that have affected the Dominican capital throughout the day.

The tournament management, led by Edwin Castillo and commissioner Nelson Ramírez, reported that the matches scheduled for today have been moved to this Wednesday at the Arena BanReservas Profesor Virgilio Travieso Soto. This doubleheader will mark the official closing of the Elimination Phase of this historic edition that celebrates its golden anniversary.

New schedule for this Wednesday

  • 7:00 p.m.: Club Los Prados vs. San Lázaro.
  • 9:00 p.m.: Rafael Barias vs. Mauricio Báez.

Although the four teams advancing to the next stage are already defined, tomorrow’s matchday is crucial. The final results will dictate the order of the standings and, consequently, how the semifinal series A and B will be structured.

This Wednesday’s matches will be decisive in establishing the final standings and defining the direct matchups in the next stage of the tournament.
