Brandon Hyde Joins Tampa Bay Rays as Senior Advisor
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Brandon Hyde, former manager of the Baltimore Orioles, has been hired by the Tampa Bay Rays as a senior advisor of baseball operations.
Hyde, 52, managed the Orioles from December 2018 to May 18, at which point he was fired with the team holding a 15-28 record, placing them in last place in the American League East Division.
Hyde was named American League Manager of the Year in 2023, after Baltimore won the American League East Division for the first time since 2014. His record with the Orioles was 421-492. In addition, he was interim manager of the Marlins in June 2011, with a record of 0-1.
