Jacob Misiorowski to Debut with the Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers’ star pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski is set to make his Major League debut this Thursday night. The inaugural game will be against the St. Louis Cardinals, starting a four-game series. Misiorowski, 23 years old, arrived Tuesday night from Triple-A Nashville. He began the season as the third-best prospect in the organization, according to Baseball America. The 6-foot-7 right-handed pitcher had a 4-2 record with a 2.13 ERA in 13 games, including 12 starts. He struck out 80 batters in 63 1/3 innings and gave up 31 walks.

I think this shows that the Brewers trust me and believe I have the ability to do it. I feel ready and willing. I’m excited.

Misiorowski was selected in the second round of the 2022 amateur draft, coming from Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri. Last season, his possible promotion in September to reinforce the bullpen was considered, but it didn’t happen. This season, he established himself as a starter in Nashville.

I just go out there and throw what they ask me to. Whether it’s 60 or 70 pitches, that’s what I do. It’s been exciting, and now we’re here.

It’s been a topic of conversation for a month or more. He’s here.

I think it’s great to face a team that I used to watch all the time. I’m excited.
