Mariners Injury Update: Miller and Robles Nearing Return
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Bryce Miller and outfielder Victor Robles are progressing in their injury recovery and are nearing their return to the field. The General Manager, Justin Hollander, provided an update on the players’ status before the start of the Mariners series against the Chicago White Sox. Miller, who has been dealing with inflammation in his right elbow, will make his second rehabilitation start on Thursday with the Triple-A Tacoma team. Hollander indicated that the right-handed pitcher will likely need another outing before his return to the team.Hollander added that Miller feels in optimal condition, even better than on the first day of spring training. Robles has been out of action since April, after dislocating his left shoulder while making a play, which required him to be removed from the field. Robles is expected to begin his rehabilitation assignment on August 12. So far this season, he is batting .273 with three RBIs in 44 at-bats.No matter how much Bryce begs that that be the last.
