Tony Mansolino: Uncertain Future as Orioles Manager

Uncertainty surrounds the Baltimore Orioles’ manager position, with Tony Mansolino still at the center of the discussion.

Mike Elias, team president, stated this Monday that the Orioles will evaluate other options for the manager position. However, Mansolino, who served as interim manager for much of the season, is considered a candidate.

Both Mansolino and Elias answered questions in a press conference at the end of the season, after Baltimore finished in last place in the American League East Division, following two consecutive postseason appearances.

On Sunday, the day Mansolino turned 43, the Orioles concluded their season with a 3-2 loss to the New York Yankees.

Mansolino took over as interim manager on May 17, following the dismissal of Brandon Hyde, after a 15-28 start to the season.

Under Mansolino’s direction, Baltimore had a 60-59 record, finishing the season with an overall balance of 75-87.
