Thanks to the Pirates, Tigers, Nationals, Athletics, White Sox, and Phillies for allowing me to represent their cities. I wore each of those uniforms with pride. Each place holds a special place in my heart for different reasons. I will make sure to take a piece of each city with me wherever I go.

In his final words, Harrison thanked baseball for its influence:
Finally, to the game of baseball, for helping to shape me, to humble me, and give me a platform to grow, not only as a player, but as a man. I feel blessed to have been a two-time All-Star and to play as long as I did, but I never sought to prove people wrong, only to prove that I was right in my beliefs. That said, future players, do not let other people’s expectations limit you from reaching your full potential. Put in the work and get what you deserve.
