Devers Connects Jonrón 30 and Unleashes Incidents in the Game

Rafael Devers’ 30th home run of the season resulted in a night full of tension and ejections in Tuesday’s game.

Colorado Rockies pitcher Kyle Freeland, along with Matt Chapman of the San Francisco Giants and Willy Adames, were ejected after an incident that cleared the benches following Devers’ two-run home run in the first inning.

Devers connected a pitch over the right field fence. Freeland didn’t seem to take Devers’ celebration well, and yelled at him as he approached first base.

This caused several players to head to the infield, where Chapman appeared to make contact with Freeland, with Adames also involved.

The referees restored order before assessing the situation and announcing the ejections.

Devers waited at first base while the umpires deliberated and then ran the bases several minutes after hitting the home run.

There were no signs of blows being thrown.
