Jackson Chourio Leaves Game Due to Injury

Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Jackson Chourio left Tuesday’s game against the Chicago Cubs due to an apparent leg injury.

The situation occurred after Chourio connected a triple to start the fifth inning.

Chourio, 21, connected the first pitch from starting pitcher Colin Rea to the center field wall, achieving a triple without complications. However, upon reaching third base, he slowed down and requested assistance from the Milwaukee trainer and manager Pat Murphy.

After being evaluated for several minutes, Chourio left the field. Pinch runner Blake Perkins scored moments later thanks to a double by William Contreras.

Before leaving the game, Chourio had batted 3-2. He currently leads the league in doubles and is batting .276 with 17 home runs for the Brewers, who are in first place.

Chourio is a key piece in Milwaukee’s lineup, driving in 67 runs and stealing 18 bases.
