Paul George will miss the start of the season with the 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers star, Paul George, will not be present at the season opener due to his recovery from knee surgery performed during the summer, according to sources close to the team. Although George has shown significant progress in his recovery, he still needs to meet certain requirements before he can participate in a regular season game. His debut is expected to occur shortly after the start of the season. The nine-time NBA All-Star underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in July, after suffering an injury during a workout. A reevaluation was expected in September. George signed a maximum four-year, $212 million contract with Philadelphia in the summer of 2024. Last season, he was only able to participate in 41 games due to various ailments. Before the season ended in March, George received injections in his left adductor and left knee. Last season, the 6’8″ forward averaged 16.2 points, his lowest average since the 2014-15 season, in which he played only six games. Since the 2018-19 season, George has only played more than 56 games in a season.
