The American golfer Xander Schauffele achieved a memorable victory at the Baycurrent Classic, held in Japan. Greyserman, after leading the first three rounds, closed with 65 strokes. Michael Thorbjornsen also had an outstanding performance, finishing three strokes behind the winner. Schauffele, with this triumph, adds another milestone to his career, which includes two major championships and gold at the Tokyo Olympics. The favorable conditions allowed for a low score. Matt McCarty achieved an impressive 60, while Takumi Kanaya finished with a 62.
